Life Art & Freebie!
I've been lost in working on my most recent project lately, a photobook to take with me when I move to Florida. I'm documenting memories, favorite photos, activities and events, even down to the mundane little aspects of everyday life, because I know those are a few of the things I'm going to miss.
I don't like the term "scrapbooking" as I've mentioned before, because really what I'm doing is documenting my life artfully both on paper and in digital format. Instead I prefer the term Life Art, coined by the amazing artist Ali Edwards. You guys seriously need to go check her out, her work is incredible.
I've been an active member over at Designer Digitals since the end of April, but I've been lurking there for quite a while. I love seeing all of the awesome talent there, and everyone is so nice and fun to chat with. Definitely a creative, fun place to visit in your free time.
You can view my gallery here, and I've also put up a section on this website with examples of my work, located here. I plan on making this a regular feature here on my blog, and I really appreciate all of the support I've gotten so far.
I've gotten a lot of wonderful compliments on my work, even being featured on a few blogs and scraplifts and Designer Digitals, and I've started creating my own product line specifically for people who scrapbook/create photobooks. I messaged Katie Pertiert, the owner of Designer Digitals and the creator of an incredible line of digital items, to see if they had more room in the store for another designer. All of the spots were full, so I've decided to start selling my product line here! In the future, there will be a section of this website dedicated to this purpose.
Until then, I've decided to do a test run and put up one of my layered Photoshop templates up for grabs here!
