About Brent
My name is Brent, and I'm a twenty-two year old photographer and freelance web designer. I've been building websites for almost twelve years now, offering my skills to the public on a freelance basis for two of those years. I am completely self-taught.
Like many in my field, I began tinkering with websites back in the hay-day of automated page builders, like the now extinct Geocities. As publishing online and the resources to do so became more widespread and available, I began to delve further into figuring out how it all worked on my own.
Many years of research, trial and error and practical experience have led me to where I am now. The internet is the fastest growing, most competitive media for business, and there's no better way to expand your userbase than with a sleek, professiona website, along with a brand new identity and killer Search Engine Optimization. There are undoubtedly thousands of designers out there dedicated to doing what I do, but I like to think I'm a little different.
For me, a career in web design isn't just getting to make pretty graphics in my pajamas all day (which I will admit, is a nice perk,) but rather a way for me to connect with like-minded clients, and do what I can to bring their ideas, needs, and wants to the forefront of current technology. The majority of my projects come from referrals of past clients, so I value each experience I have highly, and aim to ensure you leave with exactly what you needed.
I have a sharp eye for detail, combined with the benefits of being well schooled in all forms of visual presentation due to being a formal art and design student my entire educational career. My specialties include color theory, page hierarchy, content organization, and my very favorite - interface design. It's what lights me up each morning, and I couldn't imagine a day without doing what I do.
When I'm not tinkering, designing or coding, I can usually be found drinking a lot of coffee, working on various other aspects of my business, taking photos, hanging out with my Jack Russell Terrier, or watching a good movie. Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed creating and maintaining it.
